Senior Field Service Technician (Remote)

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Field Service Technician to join their dynamic, remote-first team. This role is crucial for ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of complex industrial equipment utilized by our diverse client base across the nation. As a Senior Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of electromechanical systems, often under tight deadlines. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining operational efficiency and minimizing downtime for our customers.
Responsibilities: Conduct remote diagnostics and analysis of equipment malfunctions using advanced diagnostic tools and software. Provide expert-level technical support and guidance to on-site personnel during installation, maintenance, and repair procedures. Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to proactively identify and address potential issues. Document all service calls, repairs, and maintenance activities accurately and comprehensively in the company's CRM system. Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to provide feedback on equipment performance and identify areas for improvement. Train and mentor junior technicians, sharing best practices and technical knowledge. Stay current with the latest technological advancements and industry trends in industrial equipment maintenance. Manage inventory of critical spare parts and ensure timely reordering to support service operations. Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies during the execution of duties. Qualifications: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience in field service, maintenance, or repair of industrial machinery. Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues independently. Proficiency with diagnostic software, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other relevant test equipment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical individuals. Strong problem-solving abilities and a meticulous attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment. Willingness to travel occasionally for critical on-site interventions as needed (though the role is primarily remote). A strong understanding of control systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical circuits.
