Our client is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Senior Catering Operations Manager to lead and elevate their premium catering services. This role is critical for ensuring the seamless execution of high-profile events, maintaining impeccable service standards, and optimizing operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in high-volume catering, event management, team leadership, and financial oversight. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of catering operations, from menu planning and client relations to staff management and inventory control. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering outstanding culinary experiences.

Responsibilities: Oversee all daily catering operations, ensuring high standards of quality and service delivery. Manage and lead a team of catering staff, including chefs, servers, bartenders, and event coordinators. Develop and refine menus in collaboration with culinary teams, catering to diverse client needs and preferences. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their event requirements and exceeding expectations. Develop and manage event proposals, contracts, and budgets, ensuring profitability and client satisfaction. Coordinate all event logistics, including staffing, equipment, transportation, and venue setup. Implement and enforce strict food safety and sanitation standards. Manage inventory of food, beverages, and supplies, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing waste. Conduct regular staff training and performance evaluations, fostering a culture of excellence. Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues that arise before, during, or after events. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to drive business growth and enhance brand reputation. Analyze financial performance, track key metrics, and implement strategies for cost control and revenue enhancement. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging culinary techniques, and best practices in catering. Ensure all events adhere to company policies and procedures. Plan and execute tasting sessions for prospective clients. Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness. Oversee the maintenance and presentation of all catering equipment and vehicles. Develop contingency plans for various event scenarios. Participate in industry events and networking opportunities. Contribute to the strategic planning and growth of the catering division. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Culinary Arts, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in catering management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale events and high-volume catering operations. Strong understanding of culinary trends, menu development, and food and beverage management. Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills. Exceptional organizational and project management abilities. Proficiency in financial management, budgeting, and cost control. Strong client relationship management and sales skills. Knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., ServSafe certification). Ability to work under pressure and adapt to demanding schedules, including evenings and weekends. Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite. A passion for exceptional service and creating memorable culinary experiences. Experience with virtual event components or hybrid event catering is a plus. This role is based in our vibrant operations in Miami, Florida, US , requiring full-time, on-site dedication to manage events and lead our exceptional catering team.
