Field Service Technician

Clean Harbors is seeking a Field Services Technician to join our safety-conscious team. In this role, you will work actively in the field performing tasks associated with hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and the handling of hazardous materials.

Key Responsibilities
- Prioritize health and safety by following policies and always acting safely.
- Engage in strenuous physical labor, including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
- Operate light and heavy equipment, use various hand tools and powered industrial tools.
- Wear and effectively utilize a variety of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work in diverse temperatures and weather conditions, indoors and outdoors.
- Handle potential exposure to various chemical and physical agents, including hazardous materials.
- Work in potentially elevated noise levels and confined spaces.
- Assist in field sampling activities and calibrate meters.
- Climb ladders and scaffolding, and work at heights.
- Perform extended work periods exceeding 8 hours as required.
- Attend all compliance and safety meetings.
- Inspect drums for compliance and integrity.
- Safely load and unload hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
- Conduct waste stream sampling and profiling.
- Follow all compliance regulations and guidelines.
- Safely operate vehicles in accordance with relevant regulations.
- Observe all environmental health and safety operating guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Be available for emergency response on a rotating on-call basis.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
- Willingness to be on-call for emergency response, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical assessment.
- Must comply with OSHA's Respiratory Protection standard regarding facial hair.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid Driver's license.
- Previous relevant labor experience.
