Field Service Technician

Clean Harbors is seeking a Field Services Technician to join our safety-conscious team. In this role, you will work actively in the field performing tasks associated with hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and the handling of hazardous materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Prioritize health and safety by following policies and always acting safely.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor, including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
• Operate light and heavy equipment, use various hand tools and powered industrial tools.
• Wear and effectively utilize a variety of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Work in diverse temperatures and weather conditions, indoors and outdoors.
• Handle potential exposure to various chemical and physical agents, including hazardous materials.
• Work in potentially elevated noise levels and confined spaces.
• Assist in field sampling activities and calibrate meters.
• Climb ladders and scaffolding, and work at heights.
• Perform extended work periods exceeding 8 hours as required.
• Attend all compliance and safety meetings.
• Inspect drums for compliance and integrity.
• Safely load and unload hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
• Conduct waste stream sampling and profiling.
• Follow all compliance regulations and guidelines.
• Safely operate vehicles in accordance with relevant regulations.
• Observe all environmental health and safety operating guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Be available for emergency response on a rotating on-call basis.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
• Willingness to be on-call for emergency response, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical assessment.
• Must comply with OSHA's Respiratory Protection standard regarding facial hair.

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid Driver's license.
• Previous relevant labor experience.
