AF Compressor Field Service Technician

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled AF Compressor Field Service Technician to join our team. Our office is located in Carrollton, GA but you do not need to be located nearby. We prefer candidates to live within 1 hour of a major airport. This role involves providing on-site maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting services for compressor systems and related equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills, with experience in diesel engines, automotive repair, and equipment maintenance. The technician will work directly with customers to ensure optimal performance of their systems, requiring excellent customer service abilities and technical expertise.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on AF compressors and associated equipment in the field.
• Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues.
• Conduct repairs on heavy machinery using hand tools, and power tools.
• Maintain detailed service records and documentation of all work performed.
• Assist customers with system operation questions and provide technical support to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Perform heavy lifting as required to handle equipment parts or components safely.
• Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations during all service activities.

Qualifications

• Proven service technician experience with heavy equipment or compressors preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in diesel engine repair, automotive repair, or equipment repair.
• Familiarity with schematics, and electrical systems is highly desirable.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, multimeter, calipers, inside micrometers etc.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and quality workmanship. This position offers an exciting opportunity for experienced technicians eager to apply their skills in a dynamic field service environment while supporting clients across various industries.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
